Camping on Jinha Beach

One Saterday early in June we hopped on a bus to Jinha beach to go camping. We usually don't plan our trips, just do everything in the heat of the moment, but this one needed just a little planning: tents. I didn't need to buy one, because I had already stolen one a few months ago. Okay, borrowed, from my landlord. And yes, he doesn't know. It was just laying around in the apartment building. The others got some cheap tents at Homeplus. The bus ride to Jihna is only 40 minutes, so not far at all. We got there at about 11:00 and immediately set up the tents - what's done is done. We know that Soju isn't good with setting up tents.

With the tents  up it was time to start the party. We had the whole beach to ourselves. Afterwards we realized that we didn't take much photos of what  happened between after we set up the tents and just before nighttime. We basically just swam in freezing water and did some crazy stuff like tackling Anriette in the sand and putting her on a dog leash that I picked up. One event I did take photos of was when Lindie had a very interesting story to tell Anriette.

Lindie: " So I was sitting on him like this, and holding his
ears like this and just went 'Wrrrooom!'. "

Lindie: " It's really not that funny you know. "

Anriette clearly disagreed.

For dinner the girls went and bought some raw meet at a restaurant and we had a barbecue with the trusty notebook barbecue that we used at the waterfall. Then it was time for a Harry Potter fight with some fireworks. I got the idea the first time I went camping with another group on the beach in Busan. You basically stand 20m or so apart, say your spell, point and shoot. Of course you start running around if you do not want to get shot, not that it does any damage if you do. Just ask Gerdus, I got him on the forehead and Jim got me on the wrist. It was hilarious and super fun!

After having tons of fun, getting shot and almost burning the tents down we ran out of fireworks. We were all exhausted after the day in the sun and called it a night.

The next day we basically did the same as the previous day. We also walked to the island at low tide, and boy were we disappointed. All the garbage that flows out of the river just piles up on the island. There were a lot more people on the beach than the previous day. Even people showing of on jet ski's that made me super jealous and miss water skiing.

We decided to end the festivities at about 5 pm, packed everything and went home. After all, we did spend two days in the sun and probably needed to get some much needed rest, but not before we all got together at Jean's apartment, order McDonald's and watched The Hangover. It was an awesome weekend and I really hope we get a chance to do it again.
